First Baptist Church Quincy is a Southern Baptist 501(c)(3) church in Quincy, Florida. We want to be transparent about how information is handled when you use our website at firstbaptistquincy.com.

Some ministry sign up forms may collect sensitive information such as children’s names, ages, allergies, or medical notes. We use this information only for ministry coordination and safety purposes.
Information collected automatically
Wix, our website host, automatically collects basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and general location. Wix also places cookies as part of its normal platform operation.
We do not collect sensitive financial information such as credit card or bank account numbers, and we do not collect Social Security numbers.

We use the information you share to:

•Follow up with you about our church or ministries
•Coordinate ministry activities, events, and volunteer service

We are a small church, and different staff or volunteers may see your message depending on what you contact us about.For example:
•A prayer request may be seen by pastoral staff or prayer team volunteers
•A general question may be seen by administrative staff
•A ministry specific question may be forwarded to the appropriate ministry leader
•Children’s or medical information on a sign up form may be seen by staff or volunteers responsible for that ministry or event
We only share information internally for ministry, pastoral care, safety, or administrative purposes.
Site members
If you choose to create a site member account on our website, Wix stores your login information and profile details. Site member accounts may allow access to any pages or features marked as “Members Only,” if such pages exist. Your profile information is visible only to church staff and is not publicly displayed. You may request deletion of your member account at any time by contacting us at fbcq@tds.net.
Third party services
We use a few service providers to operate our website and church systems:
•Wix – website hosting, form storage, and analytics
•Google Workspace – staff email accounts
•Google Forms – used for ministry registrations and volunteer sign ups; responses are stored in the Google account of the staff member who manages that form
•Planning Center – used manually by staff when needed for church administration
These providers have their own privacy policies and process data only to provide services to us.
Cookies
Wix automatically places functional and analytics cookies on our site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features (like forms) may not work correctly.
Data retention
We do not have a formal data retention schedule. Form submissions and Google Form responses remain stored in Wix or Google unless you ask us to delete them. If you request deletion, we will remove your information from the systems we control.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children without parental or guardian involvement. If we learn that we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
